• Edited video footage for Rep. Moulton’s social media channels and various stakeholder events.

• Designed graphics for Rep. Moulton’s social media channels, adhering to the social branding guidelines and conveying the Congressman’s stance on a variety of current events and policy issues.

• Assisted in drafting press releases, quotes, and e-newsletters directed at constituents in the District.

• Prepared daily news briefings for the Congressman and staff on national and local news.

U.S. Senator Gary Peters – Digital Intern

• Drafted copy for U.S. Senator Gary Peters’ Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts, spanning issue areas and encapsulating the Senator’s legislative goals and personal voice.

• Designed engaging graphics for Senator Peters’ social media platforms announcing major legislation.

• Created captioned videos of Senator Peters for personal office platforms and the Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs’ (@HSGAC) Twitter page.

• Authored video scripts for Senator Peters commemorating holidays and important stakeholder events.

• Developed, filmed, and edited promotional videos for personal office outreach opportunities and created informational videos publicizing Homeland Security & Govt. Affairs Committee field hearings.

• Compiled Senator Peters’ media mentions and committee hearings using platforms such as TVEyes, Snapstream, OBS Studio, and Premiere Pro to edit and caption for social media platforms.

The Michigan Daily – Digital Managing Editor

Sept. 2020 – Present

• Oversee the distribution of The Michigan Daily’s content to three major social media platforms, reaching 56,600 Twitter followers, 27,300 Instagram followers, and 28,000 Facebook followers.

• Edit and approve four Michigan Daily newsletters, reaching a total of 55,000 subscribers weekly.

• Manage The Michigan Daily website and users, gathering over 6,000,000 pageviews annually.

• Deliver breaking news to all three social media platforms, while overseeing six digital sections covering photography, video, design, podcasts, social media, and web development at the paper.

• Review and approve The Daily’s print edition, resulting in the print production of 7,500 papers weekly.

Michigan Democratic Party One Campaign – Fellow

Summer – Fall 2020

• Served as a student fellow with the Michigan Democratic Party during the 2020 election cycle, advocating for the election of now President Joe Biden and the re-election of Senator Gary Peters.

• Connected with voters from across the state of Michigan, specifically in red areas of the state, to engage in political persuasion and get-out-the-vote efforts.

• Confirmed the involvement of campaign volunteers throughout the weeks leading up to the election and participated in multiple training sessions with One Campaign Field Organizers.
